I’ve been getting asked a lot of the same questions about how I’m feeling, what I’m craving, etc. so instead of writing this post in typical paragraph format, mama’s going into full list mode!
When are you due?
February 8th 2019 but the doctor said to expect anytime between 2 weeks before and 1 week after!
How are you feeling?
EXHAUSTED. Not being able to up my caffeine intake made it harder but I’d take laying in bed over laying over the toilet any day. Joe has been very supportive even when my trapped gas would finally relieve itself right as he joined me in bed.
Were you trying?
Like I mentioned in my pregnancy announcement post (you can find it here), we were practicing the Creighton Model of NFP so we knew when I was fertile/not fertile. That being said, we weren’t really trying either way!
When did you find out?
We found out the day I missed my period. My cycle is very regulated so when I didn’t get my normal PMS symptoms we had a suspicion. He sat with me while I took the test and we saw the lines appear together! Queue the hyperventilation and tears of joy. 🙂
Are you going to find out if you’re having a boy or girl?
We plan on finding out so stay tuned! 😉
Do you have any cravings?
Chicken noodle soup and cheese. Since I was feeling really run down, the soup was a big comfort. As for the cheese….I’d been off dairy for the past 5 months and had never been a cheesehead before so this craving surprised me. It got so bad that it was all I could think about so I eventually caved and I’ve been eating it in moderation since then!
Is there anything you can’t stand the sight/smell of?
Nothing in particular stands out! Sometimes I’ll be like “Nope, anything but that” but nothing consistent.
Every time I’ve experienced a not so favorable symptom I’ve tried to keep a positive mindset. Being tired has forced me to relax, I might have trapped gas but at least I can keep food down, nausea helps me practice deep breathing, etc. I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was a little girl and that dream becoming a reality is worth every yawn, fart, and other undesirable symptom.
