Today we’re starting something new! A few of my favorite bloggers have links + loves posts and I LOVE reading them, so I thought it would be fun to have a regular links + loves post here. Let’s jump right in!
Something to Drink:
Dr. Axe’s Secret Detox Drink. I’ve been drinking this every morning and can tell a difference in the texture of my skin and quality of my poop. Apple cider vinegar is particularly pungent, and my husband avoids me like the plague while I drink it, so if you want some alone time…this will help 😉
Fair warning: It’s very strong so I would recommend using at least 16 oz of water, 1/2 of the apple cider vinegar, and goin’ ham on the cinnamon!
Something to Eat:
If you have not tried Tone It Up’s plant-based protein, you are not living your best life. But in all seriousness, I don’t use whey protein for a multitude of reasons and it is SO DIFFICULT to find a good quality/yummy tasting plant protein powder! This one is affordable and you can buy it either online or in stores so it’s convenient to purchase as well! My favorite flavor (so far!) is vanilla but they also have chocolate, cafe latte, coconut, and peanut butter. Joe insists peanut butter is the ideal flavor for protein so you can all guess the next flavor we’re trying!
Something to Watch:
Speaking of Joe, we have been LOVING The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime. It’s funny, clever, inspiring, and season 2 cannot come soon enough!
Full disclosure: The first episode does contain some nudity and there’s definitely some language so it’s not the most family friendly, but it’s a worthwhile watch for those of you who don’t mind a little poop in your brownies!
Something to Use:
Many women I know have recommended using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter during pregnancy to prevent stretch marks, but it smells like chocolate and I just couldn’t get on board. Luckily, Palmer’s has diversified their line a bit and I found one that I have been loving so much that I anticipate using even after pregnancy. Meet Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks. It has a light smell, soaks in quickly, is not greasy, and most importantly does not contain mineral oil, parabens, or phthalates!
Something to Listen To:
I am sooooo tardy to the podcast party, but I have arrived and I am loving it! The one I’ve listened to the most lately is the Rise podcast by Rachel Hollis. You can find it through her website here or on iTunes here.
